IGNITE has recently launched a YouTube channel, containing learning materials on high performance computing and phylogenetics. Prof Alexandros Stamatakis, Group leader on Computational molecular evolution at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) and supervisor on the IGNITE ESR Project 9: Auto-tuned & flexible phylogenetic likelihood calculations recorded a number of online educational videos.
A total of ten clips form a useful set of user-friendly online lectures, encompassing different computational operations and mathematical systems related to phylogenetics. These include Markov chains, Bayesian approach and other high performance computing methods.
The newly launched YouTube channel aims to make educational materials accessible to an audience beyond the IGNITE project and to spread knowledge broadly.
